About the exams

EAB offers a range of exams that let you test your level of proficiency in Esperanto. You don't have to be taking, or have taken, an EAB correspondence course in order to take an EAB exam; you are welcome to use the exams to complement any course of study. There are three levels - please choose the one most appropriate to your level of learning. Please note: we only allow one re-take at a given level, so we recommend that you try the appropriate specimen exam first. All exams may be ordered online or from our office. Please send payment with your order - cheques made payable to: Esperanto-Asocio de Britio.

Specimen exam papers

Our specimen papers will give you an idea of the language-level needed in order to attempt one of our exams. Please note that if you are following one of our paid correspondence courses you may send the paper and your answers to your tutor for marking and comment. A good result may be an indication that you are ready for that particular exam.

If you prefer to work from a printed paper, you may request a copy from our office. Please include an A5 stamped addressed envelope.
