Dictionaries
People sometimes ask us about Esperanto dictionaries. Our online bookshop catalogue's 'Dictionaries' section contains a wide range of printed dictionaries, and you can find some recommendations in this "learning support" section of our education pages.
There are also several online dictionaries available (some general-purpose, some on specialised topics, and with varying comprehensiveness and quality). Here are just a few:
- Plena Ilustrita Vortaro (Esperanto-only)
- ViVo (Vikia Vortaro) (two-way)
- ReVo (Reta Vortaro) (one-way)
- Google Translate (two-way)
- Komputeko (computing terminology)
- Bab.la (includes flashcards)
- Word of the day (a daily dose of Esperanto vocabulary)
