2005 EAB Events

Here is an archive of the EAB events diary, for 2005.

2005-Mar-30: The international meeting at Boulogne-sur-mer in March 2005 is now fully subscribed, but there is still opportunity for people to join the participants when they follow in the footsteps of the 1905 congress to visit Dover; the Boulogne 2005 website has more details. (There is no UK-based 2005 British Congress, but members are encouraged to participate in the British South Coast excursion from the Boulogne 2005 event.)

2005-May-07: The 2005 EAB Annual General Meeting will take place at the Baptist Church, Bloomsbury, London. The room opens at 11:00, there's a lecture at 11:30, the AGM is at 14:00, and the room closes at 16:30.

2005-May-13 to 15: SATEB organises an annual residential weekend at The Wedgwood Memorial College, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent. This year's guest lecturer will be Atilio Rojas, Director of the Internacia Esperanto-Instituto in Den Haag. For more details visit the Esperanto Education events page

2005-May-21: The North West Esperanto Federation's spring meeting includes their AGM and a talk by Dr Derek Tatton on "Adventures in English and Esperanto: learning from experiences with English". The South Lancashire Esperanto Group website has more details.

2005-June-10 to 13: The 100th Scottish Esperanto Congress is at Largs on Scotland's west coast. This special centenary event has assembled an outstanding array of presenters and lecturers, including Dr Renato Corsetti, John Francis, Dr Marjorie Boulton, Dr Paul Gubbins, Hugh Reid, Ed Robertson, Geoffrey Sutton, Dr John Wells, David Thornell, David Lilley, Duncan Thompson, Norman Richardson, and David Bisset. 2005-Aug-06 to 12: The annual Summer School at Barlaston has now become the Esperanto Summer Festival, with an even wider range of activities. For more details visit the Esperanto Education courses page or the festival website. Help to support Britain's main Esperanto teaching event of the year, and polish up and enjoy your Esperanto at the same time!

2005-Sep-03 to 04: The Scottish Study Weekend in Dunblaine, organised by the Scottish Esperanto Association.

2005-Oct-21 to 23: 'Course you can' is EAB's weekend course at Barlaston for beginners and post-beginners. For more details visit the Esperanto Education courses page.

2005-Nov-04 to 06: EAB mounts a stand at the London Language Show in Olympia, London, and will present "Language Learning for the language-averse" to launch the Springboard project on 2006-Nov-06 14:15-15:00.

2005-Dec-03: Zamenhof festival at Aberdour, organised by the Scottish Esperanto Association.

Throughout the year: The London Esperanto Club meets (nearly) every Friday 18:00 - 22:00, at the London Irish Centre, 50-52 Camden Square, Camden, London, NW1 9XB. Many other local Esperanto groups hold regular or occasional events; visit their websites for more details.
