However, if you need an evening meal before a long journey home (or just for a treat) there are some good eating-places in South Parade itself, and in Banbury Road, very near South Parade (and the High School) with a considerable range of international cuisines : Greek, Italian (2), Chinese (2), French, Moroccan/Mediteranean, 'Yoga' (vegetarian/organic), + pizza, pasta, and pubs... (The Dew Drop Inn) etc.

Reaching St. Edward's High School

By car: You are strongly advised not to go into the centre of Oxford. Stick to the ring road and take the A4144, the Woodstock Road; as you come in the School is very visible on your left.

Arriving by train: Taxis are usually available at the station, but expensive , unless three or four can share.

No. 10 bus (Stagecoach) goes from the station up Woodstock Road. Bus stop SOUTH PARADE is just beyond the School, both being across the road from the stop. Every 15 minutes.

No. 2C or 2D bus (Oxford Bus Company) marked 'Kidlington, Oxford Airport' is more frequent. This goes up Banbury Road. At the far end of the very obvious shopping area, Summertown, stop at SOUTH PARADE. Walk along South Parade and turn left for the School. about 10 minutes walk - less for the athletic!

Arriving by coach: From London, X90 express service runs from Victoria Coach Station on Saturday mornings every 20 minutes. Returns from Oxford every 30 minutes in the evening. Tel: 0207 824 0056 for information

Arrive Gloucester Green Coach Station. Turn your back on the coaches and go through the square with shops. Taxis on the far side, probably frequent, but expensive. Otherwise, continue past the taxis and go through the alley Friar's Entry which will come out into Magdalen Street which is the correct side for your bus stops.

Bus stop no. C1 for buses 2C and 2D (Oxford Bus Company) to Kidlington, see above. Bus stop no. C4 for bus no 6 or 6B (Oxford Bus Company) to Wolvercote, goes direct along Woodstock Road, about every 15 minutes. SOUTH PARADE is the bus stop for the School. Buses may be crowded.

Look forward to seeing you !
