About the congress
The congress theme is "lumturoj, lumuloj kaj lumaĵoj" ("lighthouses, lights and luminaries").
You can visit the famous and beautiful clifftop Beachy Head, and view the cliffs from below by boat. This will introduce you to the congress theme.
We have arranged very favourable prices; the 3-day rate includes a buffet on Friday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
The congress will be held in the elegant Eastbourne College with its large lawn, in Old Wish Road. The seafront, art gallery, hotels, restaurants and station are all nearby. After visiting the town and cliffs, we will hold the "getting to know you" evening in the impressive town hall. We will also hire the college's swimming pool for a session.
For more details, visit the congress' own website.^ Go to top of page
We have reserved rooms in three hotels on or very near the sea front, within a 5 minute walk of the congress venue for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. You can also come earlier or stay later for the same price.
Full details of your hotel will be sent by the end of March to those who made reservations. Please note accommodation orders must be received by Wednesday 6th April.
On your booking form (or in the "comments / additional instructions" of your online order, or in separate e-mail to the EAB office) simply write on your which nights you want, and whether single, double or twin room. No deposit is required. The cost quoted above is per person per night and includes (full English) breakfast.
If you prefer to make your own accommodation arrangements, a list of hotels and guest-houses in Eastbourne (with indicative prices and contact details) is available at www.eastbourne.org.^ Go to top of page
